Our Services

We’re specialists in delivering innovative, sustainable and successful solutions that improve railways across the nation. Our services cover various stages in the project lifecycle, from surveying to design to on site consultancy. We solve complex problems, ensuring safety and reliability in every project we undertake. By collaborating with other key stakeholders, consultants and third parties, we pride ourselves on our ability to deliver results that make a difference.

Permanent Way Design Services

We have a wealth of experience in providing permanent way design and a deep understanding of the complex requirements of railway infrastructure. Whether it’s solving the realignment of a track, expanding an existing railway layout or remodelling a junction, we are well adept at providing efficient design solutions.

Plain Line Design

Including way beams, leaving crossings and platform design interfaces.

Gauging Clearance Analysis

Structure and stepping clearance assessments, gauge clearance feasibility studies, gauge clearance reports.

Switch & Crossing Design

Simple turnouts through to complex junction remodelling in both conventional and modular layouts.

Depots and Sidings

Simple siding layouts and depot design for train care and maintenance facilities.

Line Speed Increase Feasibility Schemes

High level studies through to detailed design.

Buffer Stop Design

Buffer Stop Risk Assessments and Design based on the site constrains, rolling stock requirements and signalling systems

Drainage Design Services

We understand the importance of high-quality drainage systems and how essential they are at providing longevity and safety to railways. That’s why we use our industry knowledge to design and deliver expert drainage solutions that meet the requirements of each unique project. From optimising existing drainage solutions to designing brand-new solutions, we are committed to ensuring that our systems are efficient and sustainable.

Drainage Solutions

On / Off Track drainage, stations, car parks, platforms.

Hydraulic Modelling

Hydraulic analysis to produce effective drainage design solutions.

3D Modelling

Generation of 3D networks to identify potential asset clashes.

Stakeholder Engagement

3rd party engagement with water authorities to ensure best practices and comply with local regulations.

Rail Surveying Services

Before any rail project can begin, it’s essential for surveys to be conducted to allow for accurate design, planning and construction. We work with key stakeholders, contractors and third parties to conduct and deliver precise railway surveys. Using the latest innovative technologies, we provide accurate results that enable informed decision-making to bring the best possible solutions to railway systems.

Asset Condition Assessments

Both plain line, switch and crossings and drainage (track to outfall), depot, sidings and buffer stops, dilapidation surveys, life extension surveys & points conversion.

Topographical surveys

Simple surveys mapping the terrain and features of the land through to comprehensive and detailed 3D point cloud surveys.

Platform Gauging

Laser sweeps and track mounted laser scanners.

Ground Investigation Works

Track Bed Investigation (TBI), Automatic Ballast Sampling (ABS), and trial pits (TP).

Civils Design Services

Platform Extensions and Coper Alterations

Expand platform layouts that comply with regulations and safety standards.

Foundations / Bases

Robust solutions for tracks, stations and depots.

Under Track Crossing (UTX)

Allow for safe passage of water, sewage and electric lines beneath tracks.

Station and Line Side Drainage Structures

Suds ponds, drainage attenuation.

Drainage Chambers

Allow for control of water flow within infrastructure.

Depots and Sidings

Remodelling, track design, simple siding layouts.

Temporary and Permanent Works

Temporary support to long-term infrastructure solutions.

Walkways

Safe and accessible pedestrian pathways around railway infrastructure.

From small-scale civils projects to large depot, bridge and station projects, we are equipped to develop effective solutions for all that meet the unique demands of each build. Our services include site surveys, detailed design and project management, ensuring a seamless process from start to finish.
